eff you!

Is india rising? Can we progress without congress? Or is congress too
expansive? Slogans of desperate politicians...that make you barf when over 100 people have been killed in less than 24 hours.
Indian PM vows action on attacks. Let's hope that the elections this weekend will bring about a much needed change for the country...

So you see me here... starring down those bloody terrorists.

Where is india and what is india? The recent terrorist attacks makes me think that we, india, is in a dichotomy of progressiveness and backwardness. India is rising and India is progressing, but is India going to do anything about its extreme susceptibility to terrorism? India is a country where most people balance tradition and modernity very nicely. Even in rural India people strive and believe for a better life while holding true and fast to the traditions that have shaped them. India is a progressive country, a safe country with a very suitable investment climate. – yet…somehow…hatred, violence and terrorism are fast becoming common place. It almost feels normal to have a few bombs go off in a major city every month. Terrorism is challenging the very imagine most people across the country are working hard to promote.

In soo many ways, I've seen India is rising. In fact I get pissed off with people, particularly Indian's, who promote the image terrorists are working for, proposing that India is an unsafe, lost country with corrupt politicians. The other day, with out knowing who or how 'important' James Michael Lyngdoh (former Chief Election Commissioner), was, I told him off.

He was going on and on and oooonnnn...about how Indian police and government officials were corrupt and didn't deserve an award. I felt it was my duty to inform him that many police officials (3rd Annual 'Right Every Wrong Conclave & Karamveer Puraskaar') and government officials (Colloquium on Justice Delivery in Human Trafficking Crimes for Judicial Officers, prosecutors and Police Officers) were making genuine efforts to change the system - especially in the sector of human trafficking. After many words of exchange, I offered him a plate for lunch and he refused to accept. I guess he was put off by a foreigner, like me, standing up for India and it's progress. ohhh well...you win some and you lose some...

You see, I've seen images like this...which make me love this country for everything it is and everything it will be....

Terrorism sucks...and people that don't care suck...but as far as I've seen most people do care and India is rising, no matter who uses the slogans. Even though I'm not an Indian, I love this country and will always be optimistic about it.... Ya I'm pissed, I'm pissed off...and somehow wish I were face to face with those stupid chutia's that decided to fuck with this country!

Ohh yaa, Happy Thanksgiving!
