However, the business visa I was on will not allow me to work in India, so I had to come back to the US of A to get a new visa. This process was only supposed to take 3 - 4 days max. Had a return ticket for Dec. 30 - return in time to attend a friends wedding and party it up in Delhi for New Years. Neither happened.
So yes, I had to cancel that flight and wait...Spent New Years watching 48 hours, FBI files and other crime related Discovery t.v. shows. I've literally been doing nothing...except working at night till 3 - 4 am (that's when India is awake), watching t.v., gaining weight, and surfing the world wide web... in good ol' american fashion.
This is my breakfast almost everyday!
It's now January 8th and I've heard nothing from the Embassy... I've called the Embassy, UN has called and we keep getting the same reply..."wait, you'll have to go through the process."
So you never know why things happen... And I'm actually really grateful for this time. It's been ages since Dad and I have been able to spend this much time together. I've been able to chill, think about the future and gain some emotional strength. Dad and I went touring around DC after dropping off my visa - and that was sooo fun! I'm so proud of him and what he's done for our country.

When I go back to India, I'm going to Kick Ass! If I go back... My life is in limbo...but trust me I have a plan B... I'm going to do my thing, come back and hmmmm...not going to say just yet...but I'm thinking of doing something really CRAZYYY!!!
