I've had a fantastic morning! My maid arrived at 7:00am on the dot - I love her for that. She never fails me in the regard... However her cleaning, can at times, be less than perfect. At least once a week I like to do a deep cleaning of my house and unless I'm there to monitor, it wont get done. The bathroom, kitchen, floors and tables, picture frames, etc. need to be scrubbed, cleaned and dusted. So this morning that what we did, together. Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning! It was glorious. The biggest task this morning was cleaning the dead ants off the floors and kitchen countertops. I have had the worst ant problem and last night I made it my mission to kill every last one of them...and almost killed myself in the process. Before I knew it I was coughing and running for the balcony. It all turned out fine...I'm still alive...buuuuutttt the ants are not! YES. SO after scrub scrub this morning...I took a chance and hooked up my DVD player - mind you it hasn't worked in months and after my 3rd house move, I decided not to hook it up. I put my technical skills to the test this morning and guess what...? Success - its working and now I'm watching Sex in the City in my clean clean house and loving it! It's been a while since I've had a morning like this and I love it.
Devika is coming to Delhi today and I'm soooo excited. I haven't hung out with her in a long long time and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm gonna pick her up from the train station and then we are going to the parlor and to Sarojini market to shop, shop and shop.
Update: So my time here may not but up just yet. But I'm just going with the flow and gonna wait and see what happens. If it's time for me to leave...then nothing can stop that - if I'm meant to stay I will.
